My team lets me grow because it shows me things about myself I do not like at all. The thank-you stays John's. Around it, only glue so you can follow the room.

Manchmal erfahre ich vom Team Dinge über mich, die ich an mir selbst überhaupt nicht mag.

Aber dadurch werden meine Fehler sichtbar, und ich habe zumindest die Chance sie zu sehen, und wenn ich bereit dafür bin, dann kann ich auch tatsächlich aus ihnen lernen.

Feedback without forgiveness stays accusation. Forgiveness without visibility stays comfort. John's sequence is both in one move: the team names what he does not like, the mistakes become visible, and only when he is ready does learning start. The thanks go to the people, not to a process diagram.

Growth here is not a KPI poster. It is the chance not to need the same mistake again, because someone in the room said it out loud and stayed anyway.
