Artificially generatedAI DJ Software: nothing good mashes up in one click
Split the record. Lock tempo and key. Then one vocal can sit on another instrumental.
Nothing good makes a finished DJ mashup in one click. The tools that actually work split a record into stems, then lock tempo and key so one vocal can sit on another instrumental. Prompt-only remix sites skip that. They generate a new song that sounds like a mashup.
Two records, one grid.
A mashup is two records agreeing. The vocal of one, the drums and bass of the other, the same tempo, a key that does not fight. The software that does this job shows you the parts. You still place them.
App Store prices move by country, and tax is extra. A shop checkout follows the country the same way. The record you split is still someone else's record.
| Tool | Best for | Starting paid price | Free tier |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fadr | Building a mashup in the browser | $10 a month or $100 a year. The Plus page also shows a 50 percent off banner. | Basic stems and Remix Maker |
| djay | Live stem mixing, especially Mac and iPad | US App Store lists PRO at $6.99, $29.99, and $49.99. The list does not name the period. | Yes, without Neural Mix |
| VirtualDJ | Windows and open-format live mashups | Home $4 a month, Pro $19 a month | Yes: no controller, and not for paid gigs |
| Serato DJ Pro | Club DJs already on Serato | Pro $11.99 a month or $299. Pitch 'n Time is in Suite, $14.99 a month or $499. | Lite is free, and Lite already isolates vocals, melody, bass, and drums |
| LALAL.AI | Splits you hand to a DAW | Lite €6.75 a month, €81 billed for the year, on the euro price page | Starter, 10 minutes |
| Moises | Quick splits on a phone | About $4 to $6 a month for Premium. That figure is a reading. | 5 uploads a month, files up to 5 minutes |
| RipX DAW | Note-level edits inside a recording | One-time. Euro checkout €114, PRO €228. A dollar view listed $99 and $198. | 21-day trial |
Fadr: the closest thing to a mashup studio.
Fadr is the tool built for this job. Upload a track, split it, then open Remix. It detects key and tempo. You drag a vocal from song A over drums and bass from song B, trim, loop, and export. The stretch that puts those stems on one grid is what Remix is for.
Basic is free: vocals, melody, drums, bass, MP3 download, MIDI detection, and the Remix Maker. Plus is $10 a month or $100 a year. The FAQ on the Plus page states that in dollars. The same page is running a banner that says 50 percent off. Plus unlocks the finer stems (kick, snare, lead and background vocal, piano, guitar, strings), uploads up to an hour, WAV export, a DAW stems plugin, and API access. Basic uploads stop at 10 minutes.
It is not a full DAW. Bleed on dense mixes is still a thing, and the export usually wants a pass in a real mixer. For testing a bootleg idea in an afternoon, it is the right first stop.
Live on decks.
These do not render a mashup file. They let you mute or swap stems while the track is playing, which is how most working mashup DJs actually do it.
djay (Algoriddim) is the quality pick on a Mac and an iPad. The same PRO subscription also opens on Windows and Android, on up to five devices, once the purchase is signed into a djay account. Neural Mix isolates vocals, drums, and instrumentals in real time. It does not run on Apple Music or Spotify streams. The app is free without Neural Mix. On the US App Store the PRO purchases are listed at $6.99, $29.99, and $49.99, and that list does not put a month or a year next to the amount. About $7 a month or $50 a year is the round reading of two of those figures. Neural Mix Pro is a different app: a one-time tool for splitting files you own, not the djay subscription.
VirtualDJ is the Windows and open-format pick. It is free when you are not using it professionally and you are not using a DJ controller or a mixer. Home is $4 a month: entry-level controllers only, the branding stays, and it cannot be used at paid gigs. Pro is $19 a month: any controller, paid gigs, and the buy page names high quality stem separation. The license page also lists Business at $99 a month. A euro view of the buy page showed 4, 19, and 104 euros a month, with a year of 46, 209, and 1056 euros and one month free on the annual plan.
Serato DJ Pro is the pick if the club rig is already Serato. Lite is free, and Lite already isolates vocals, bass, melody, and drums. Acapella and instrumental buttons are there without the paid tier. The fuller stems tab wants hardware, or Serato Play in 2-deck mode. Pro is $11.99 a month or $299. Changing key while the tempo stays put is Pitch 'n Time DJ. The pricing table puts that in Suite, at $14.99 a month or $499, and leaves the Pro column empty on that row.
Splits you can drop into a mixer.
LALAL.AI is the split you hand to a DAW. The pricing page, in the euro view it returned, lists Starter as always free, with 10 minutes in the relaxed queue. Lite is €6.75 a month, €81 billed for the year, with 90 fast minutes a month. Pro is €13.50 a month, €162 for the year, and that is the tier with the VST plugin and the API. If you want the cleanest split in that stack, LALAL is the one to try first. That is a listening call, not a number on the page.
Moises is the quick split on a phone. The free plan separates two stems (vocals and instrumental) or four (vocals, drums, bass, and other): five uploads a month, files up to 5 minutes. Premium and Pro go to 20 minutes a file and let you pick individual instruments. The help center walks the same split on the phone and on web and desktop. A working figure for Premium is about $4 to $6 a month.
RipX DAW is the one that edits inside the recording. Split stems from a loop or a sample, then edit the layers note by note. Copy a part from one song into another and the program matches tempo. The product page offers a 21-day trial. The shop sells the license once. A euro checkout listed a regular price of €114 for RipX DAW and €228 for PRO. A dollar view of the same two licenses listed $99 and $198.
