Artificially generatedLateral Parallels: The Ukrainian Cyborg and the German Zombie Firms
German economy: level 1. Ukrainian war: level 100. Divided by ten, a tenfold remains.
Lateral Parallels: in the Ukraine war, AI and human organization become a giant cyborg. At the front two meta-organisms dance, Russia and Ukraine, and right now Ukraine's is art-leveling. German zombie firms hang at level 1. Even if the war pushes the symbiosis down to a tenth, it stays ten times faster than what here is called cooperation.
The Ukrainian army becomes a giant cyborg. Two meta-organisms, one is leveling.
In the Ukraine war something happens that you barely see in the civilian world: AI and human organization go into symbiosis. The Ukrainian army becomes, quasi, a giant cyborg. The fighting itself is not the point. It is the technology and the way of cooperating.
At the front line two meta-organisms meet, Russia and Ukraine. Right now Ukraine's is art-leveling. There, human, machine and AI dance in lethal concert and form a superior meta-organism. That is probably the highest level of human cooperation plus AI that exists on the planet.
Every soldier a sensor node. The AI filters before a human decides.
Delta is the nervous system. Kropyva computes fire in one minute.
The New York Times, 26 August 2026: Delta pulls drone video, radio intercepts, satellite images onto one surface. Colonel Artem Martynenko calls Delta the nervous system of the drone army. AI trains on millions of hours of front video. The ministry says: AI saves analysts up to 90 percent of the time identifying targets. Since the start of the year hits with AI terminal guidance have risen tenfold.
Kropyva sits on the tablet, around 90 percent of the artillery, fire mission down to one minute. GIS Arta dispatches tubes. Brave1 Dataroom: over 100 firms train on real combat data. The human stays in the chain. The ministry writes: a human makes the decision to use it.
FT, 17 September 2026: maybe 2 percent of drones recognise the target themselves. 2 percent of millions is still an army. That is the cyborg, not the single drone.
After the war, killing does not come into your office. Organisation does.
As always in the history of wars: the changes come into the civilian world afterwards. Not the killing. The organization. The speed. The integration.
GPS came out of NAVSTAR. The jet engine out of the Second World War. Radar too. The net out of ARPANET. Penicillin was found in 1928, the war built the factory. Lateral parallels: this time it is not only hardware that migrates. An organizational form migrates. Decentral. AI-backed. Every node a sensor. The software the nervous system.
The lead is coupled to conditions you do not want. Lethal pressure. Civilian life cannot copy the pressure and should not. Civilian life can copy the form: sensor, filter, decision, tempo. Without a body in the ditch.
German zombie firms: level 1. The Ukrainian cyborg: level 100. Divided by ten, ten remains.
If you compare that with the civilian economic landscape in Germany, you have to get scared. German economy: level 1. Ukrainian war: level 100. After the war, or already during it, that drops by a factor of 10. Even then it is still ten times faster and better integrated than what runs here.
Here human cooperation is weak. People chill, leave early, have a good time, think they have a nice life. They actually do not. They have little to do, get depressed, loaf around, get fat and lazy, degenerate, become psychological wrecks. No longer fresh. Whole organizations are zombie firms. They live off the leftovers of the economic miracle and fulfill base functions of our civilization level. You could make that ten times harder. Right now nobody has an incentive.
The competition is not really felt. The main contest runs between China and the USA. We watch and hold our level. But we do not level our mental organising capacity with it. We do not become better organising organisms. We become fried, social-media-rotted, feed-disturbed doomscroller zombies who get nothing done, and still think the whole time they would like even more leisure.
Leisure means meaninglessness. Meaninglessness makes people unhappy.
Leisure is one of the main problems. Leisure means meaninglessness. Meaninglessness makes people unhappy. That is why we need meaning again.
Meaning does not come from leisure. Meaning comes from demand. At the front the demand is lethal. Civilian life must not be lethal. It still has to be real: a thing that does not get finished without you.
Every human can be infinitely curious. People unlearned that.
Through the AI unlock there is actually plenty to do. Every human can be infinitely curious, build infinitely much, make everything. People only unlearned their curiosity a long time ago.
The lateral parallel is the offer: the organizational form of the cyborg, without the war. Sensor, filter, decision, tempo. Company Control. World Browser. An incentive no bank balance replaces, and a curiosity that has work again.
